QR visitor check-in for orchards

Know who’s on site.

With GateBud™, visitors and contractors scan a QR code to check in and read the safety information for that property. Your team can see who is there and find each visit later.

No app or visitor account required.

Rolling out across more than 80 New Zealand orchard sites.

Mobile visitor check-in for an orchard site: the arrival notice, name and company fields, and the site safety rules to review
The On site now view: who is on each site, how long they have been there, and an overdue check-out flagged for follow-up

How GateBud works

  1. Scan

Place a GateBud QR code at each gate. Visitors scan it with their phone.

  2. Check in

They enter their details and review the hazards, maps and documents for that site.

  3. Confirm

The visitor sees when check-in is complete. Your team can see who is on site.

Common questions

Does a visitor need an app or account?

No. They scan the site QR code and use a mobile web page.

What happens when reception is poor?

The page needs enough signal to load. If reception drops during check-in, GateBud saves the entry on the phone and retries while the page remains open. The visitor can see whether it has been recorded or is still waiting to send.

What records does GateBud keep?

The Visitor log shows each visit, the details submitted and any document versions acknowledged. Records can be exported as PDF or CSV.

Does GateBud replace our safety system?

No. GateBud handles visitor and contractor check-in and the record behind it. It works alongside your other safety tools.

What does setup include?

We help set up your sites, check-in questions, documents and QR posters.
